| What Our Clients Are Piecing
The quilts pictured below are client quilts, with the most recently
completed ones first. Click here
for more about the above appliqued quilt.
Quilts keep the same
index numbers when new quilts are added. This means the you can
find your quilt quickly no matter how long ago it was quilted: once
you find your quilt in the gallery, click on the picture, then you can
bookmark that page (Add to Favorites in Microsoft Internet
Explorer) or email a link to the page so your family and friends will
be able to go directly to your quilt. Quilt pictures stay in the
gallery as long as we have space to hold them.

| This quilt layout was designed
by Judy and constructed from embroidered squares supplied by the
client, using reproduction fabrics chosen to complement the period
suggested by the embroidery, and quilted with grids through the
embroidered squares and a feather meander in the
background. Quilted November 13, 2004.

A lap quilt constructed from the
client's antique
Lemoyne Star blocks (ca. 1930). The background fabric of the star blocks is
from feed sacks. New reproduction fabric was used for the sashing
and muslin for the border. Quilting in the blocks is minimal, due to
the fragility of the fabric, consisting mainly of arcs around the star
points. The sashing and border quilted in feathers. Quilted

This antique quilt came to us as
unfinished blocks, with considerable mildew damage to the background
fabric. The blocks were subsequently repaired and pieced into a
quilt top using a new fabric for the sashing and borders in a color
and pattern that reflects the vintage of the blocks. The tulip
motif applique and embroidery was echo quilted so the applique can be
removed and reused if the background fabric continues to deteriorate.
The border and sashing is quilted in a leaf design.
